MP3 Extraction Code Analysis
This section outlines the code developed to analyze uploaded MP3 files by creating spectrograms and chromagrams. The code was essential for this iteration of YIR to investigate similarities between human-conducted harmonic analysis and computer-based frequency analysis. Future iterations aim to extract individual frequencies mapped to pitches at each chord change, simplifying harmonic analysis by visualizing pitches instead of relying solely on auditory evaluation.

Librosa: Python library used for music information retrieval
Loads the MP3 of choice
Prints the samples to verify that the songs are consistent with the analysis
Outputs first ten samples and the duration of the song. This is used to verify that the duration of the MP3 matches the duration of the uploaded song
This code creates the spectrogram
Output of previous code results in a spectrogram analysis of the uploaded MP3 file
This code creates the chromagram from the uploaded MP3 file.
